abatable nuisance, defined:

a nuisance condition which is easily remedied by what could be called “reasonable means.”

abatable nuisance, as it might be used:

The legislature affirmed that an obstruction of a public right-of-way is an abatable nuisance.

An example of abatable nuisance:

Fergus' car is being damaged by a low-hanging branch that stems from a neighbor's tree, extends over a common fence and droops into the driveway. To abate the nuisance, Fergus prunes the branch back to the fence line.
