antenuptial agreement, defined:
a contract, usually formed prior to marriage, which determines the parties rights in matters of property division and support in the event of a divorce (dissolution of marriage). A antenuptial agreement goes by several different names: antenuptial agreement, prenuptial agreement and premarital agreement.
