palimony, defined:

court ordered support for a former principal in a non-marital, long-term relationship. Palimony may be sought in jurisdictions that do not recognize common-law marriages. Similar to alimony, palimony creates an obligation for support.

The defendant argued that in order to recover an award of palimony for services as an escort and companion, a sexual partner must prove cohabitation
